Archival Note These pages are presented for archival purposes only. The information contained here is obviously not up-to-date, and many (if not all) of the external links probably will not work. (I've tried to fix all of the internal links, so feel free to click around.) The content was originally created in 2001 (my first photos of the Rapid Park site were taken on October 31, 2001), with some additions throughout 2002. The last update of any type was made after TwinsFest in 2004 (I added photos of a retractable roof model which had been on display). After that, not much happened on the site until the bill which created Target Field was signed into law in May of 2006. At that point, these pages became curiosities, and all updates were made on what is now the BallparkMagic web site. That said, there is still plenty of information and imagery which may be of interest to ballpark geeks and Target Field fans. That's why these pages are being presented in their original form. No modifications have been made after the fact. Enjoy! Wishful Fields Menu 2003 Legislature Pre-Blog Articles |
Wishful Fields
Well, we can dream, right? Here are a few plans (some more elaborate than others) which have been hatched in the last few years. All but one are for the Twins, and most haven't even the faintest hint of coming to fruition. The lone exception may be the Minneapolis warehouse district site. But that depends a great deal on the 2003 Minnesota Legislature -- hardly a sure thing.
