I'm not sure this would have made a good site at all. Infrastructure is slim at best, and a bunch of industrial land and cozy neighborhood would need to be cleared (at very large expense, no doubt).

 

A horseshoe style park. Hmm.

 

There's a ballpark in there somewhere. Possibly.

 

I think these maps are skewed because the folks who designed St. Paul
never did quite figure out which way is north...

 

I'm not sure how this would be accomplished.
The railroad tracks would have to run beneath the outfield!

 

This photo was taken looking southwest toward the site in April, 2002. The big white building is the Gillette Company, and the park would take its place (at least on two of the site maps).
